Corporate Statement
Edwards-Pitman Environmental, Inc. (EPEI) is a small
woman-owned business enterprise providing high quality
ecological, historical and archaeological resource
surveys and a wide range of state and federal level
environmental documentation, including all types of
National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documents,
Georgia Environmental Policy Act (GEPA) documents,
Section 404 wetland permitting and mitigation planning
and Section 106 historic preservation and archaeological
documentation. EPEI offers an experienced, well-trained
professional staff capable of producing exceptional
environmental surveys and reports in a timely,
cost-efficient manner. EPEI is certified as a
woman-owned business enterprise by the Georgia
Department of Transportation and numerous other
municipal, county and state governments. EPEI staff is
sized and experienced to manage multiple projects
concurrently without any compromise in quality.
Since its formation in 1994, EPEI has conducted numerous
surveys and completed reports and environmental
documents for both public and private sector clients
around the southeast. Our environmental document
emphasis is in transportation-related projects and
includes preparation of state and local level documents
according to NEPA and GEPA guidelines. We have also
established original report formats that have been
accepted by large county-level Departments of
Transportation. Site investigation projects continue to
be a major part of our workload. We have provided
wetland and cultural resource services for clients which
include the developers of major shopping centers,
hotel/motel developers and utility companies. Our
ecology services include wetland and stream delineation,
mitigation, Section 404 permitting, protected species
surveys, and freshwater fish and mussel surveys.
Cultural resource services include the analysis and
identification of historic and archaeological resources
eligible or potentially eligible for listing in the
National Register of Historic Places.
The staff of Edwards-Pitman includes experts in ecology,
biology, historic architecture, archaeology and
environmental document preparation. Our employees have
received and continue to receive the best training
available in the nation. Administrative staff and cost
estimators have received training in Federal Acquisition
Regulation policies and procedures. We have established
good working relationships with local, state and federal
review and permitting agencies including the Georgia
Department of Transportation, the Federal Highway
Administration, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Georgia State
Historic Preservation Office. Our firm brings together
several years combined experience in the field of
environmental consulting. |
